This shop has been in the making for many many years. I just didn’t realize it until a few months ago.
I have always LOVED all things scary, scabby and ghoulish. I’m the one who spends all year on the internet looking for the perfect addition to my already obnoxious Halloween collection. I must say it is contagious, because I have sucked my family in too.
Halloween is like a national holiday at our house. Everyone takes the day off just to get everything pulled out of the attic and placed just right before dusk. We always add at least one new spectacular piece each year. Sometimes more, much to my husband’s chagrin.
I was a day or so late one year getting things started, and had a neighbor come up and knock on my door asking when our decorations would be going up. Evidently we are the talk of the neighborhood.
Several months ago, we went to our first Texas Frightmares. I honestly don’t know how I managed to not know about this amazing event! There were a couple of t-shirt vendors there and I went crazy. When I got home I went online to see if I could locate more of these wonderful gems. It was tough. There just aren’t that many places that sell horror t-shirts, hats, etc. The couple that I did find were the same old scary movie scenes that everyone else sells. So right then and there I decided that I needed to be in this market.
Wait – doing something that I have been doing for years. Something that I already love for a living. Novel idea – image that!
So I can honestly say this is the beginning of a long and twisted, long awaited dream come true!
